Is your site Traffic Worthy?

This was a very interesting email I received from Matthew Graves of WebBizInsider.  It is one that made me think about my marketing messages.  Perhaps it might apply to you also.

"OK, this might sound a little crazy, coming from someone who runs a site to generate traffic, but here it is!

DO NOT surf or click links until your site is "Traffic Worthy"! Are you spending too much time focused on getting traffic to crappy sites?

I spend a fair amount of time checking sites, surfing on exchanges, checking links, and such, so I get to see a lot of sites that members are promoting using all the different tools we provide. Frankly, a lot of what people are promoting on traffic exchanges and safelists is simply not "Traffic Worthy"!

I am not trying to offend anyone and this is not about personal preference, it is about RESULTS!
Many people spend so much effort driving traffic to their websites, only to get frustrated when they are not getting the results they want. Since some members have great results and others have none, then it isn't the quality of the traffic ... it is the sites that they are promoting.

If you want success, you need to balance your time between developing your offers and driving traffic to your offers. The standard mistake is to spend 90% or more of your time driving traffic and 10% or less actually looking at what you are promoting.

Now, I am not saying that you need to learn HTML and become a website designer. Frankly, that is a waste of your time too because there are so many tools for creating basic sites today that the skill is becoming unneccessary unless it is your full-time occupation. Just join AdKreator, Instant Splash, or use one of the many other tools out there.

Let's do the "Traffic Worthy" Test:

1. When you are surfing, do you see the same page you are promoting over and over again? If Yes, NOT Traffic Worthy.

2. Does your page you are promoting GRAB the viewer's attention in the first 4 seconds? If No, NOT Traffic Worthy.

3. Once you have the attention, does your page communicate the ONE thing which is most likely to create Interest? If No, NOT Traffic Worthy.

4. Does your page have a CLEAR Call to Action telling the viewer what they need to do? If No, NOT Traffic Worthy.

5. Do you have a tracking system in place so you know how much traffic you sent to the page and the results you received in return? If No, NOT Traffic Worthy.

So, if your site is not UNIQUE, ATTENTION GRABBING, SINGLE BENEFIT FOCUSED, ASK FOR A RESPONSE, AND TRACKABLE, then spend your day today modifying or creating a page that is Traffic Worthy.

Focus your attention not on surfing and clicking today. Do the "HARD" work that is more crucial to your success than any other factor ... creating a COMPELLING AND IRRESISTABLE offer that you can promote on the Traffic Exchanges and Safelists.

Most will not do this. I hope that you are one of the few who will take my advice. Success comes to those who do the things that others will not do.

Viral E-book Marketing

Success always comes at a cost... not the cost you cover with your bank card but the cost of you taking action and making efforts to learn and do. It's time for you to stop underachieving and making the moves that might change the way you do business online and live your life...

The simple truth of the matter is that the only way you're going to make real money on the net is if your business is based around two crucial things:

1) Large Demand

2) Buyers

The ball is now officially in your court. Are you tapping into markets with massive, valuable demand?...

Viral Ebook Marketing – 5 Secrets Of Viral Marketing Campaigns For Ebooks by Fabian Tan

The important thing about viral ebook marketing is that it takes on a life of its own. As people start spreading your ebook virally around the Internet, more and more people become aware of you, your company and your brand. More people get to know more about your ebooks and other products, and hence you make more sales. It’s free publicity and free sales, a marketer’s dream combination. So how do you get viral ebook marketing right?

Here are 5 secrets of viral marketing campaigns for ebooks:

Secret #1: Make Your Ebook Free The most important component for getting your ebook to become incredibly viral is that it has to be free. If it’s free, more people will be able to get their hands on it. If more people are able to acquire your ebook, the faster it is likely to be passed on to others, through email, social media sites, or even through word-of-mouth.

Secret #2: Have A Shocking Title Write a title that grabs them by the eyeballs (figuratively of course) and include a very attractive ecover of your ebook as well. They say ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’, but well, the title and the cover are the only things we can judge on the first time we lay eyes on a book or ebook. A shocking title goes some way to making your ebook viral.

Secret #3: Include Giveaway Rights Other than making your ebook free and having a shocking title plus attractive cover, including a written statement in your ebook that states it comes with giveaway rights also helps greatly. Giveaway rights basically gives your reader the right to give it away to others without seeking information from the author. This quells any doubts in people’s minds as to whether they can give away the ebook, which goes a long way to making it viral.

Secret #4: Write Jaw-Dropping Content Without high quality content, your viral ebook marketing campaign is likely to collapse like a house of cards. This is the ‘meat’ behind your campaign, so to speak. You need to write content that is fresh or refreshing. You need to put together information that will make people go ‘wow, this ebook is really good.’ The content will be the push factor as to whether people recommend your ebook to their friends.

Secret #5: Make It Short This is optional, but since people are so time-starved today, a short and snappy ebook (often called a report as well) may be more suitable for viral promotional purposes. Since your ebook is free, you don’t have to cram so much information into it as well. A short ebook is consumed faster, which makes it more likely that people will send it to others.

A free, quality ebook can easily go viral with the right viral ebook marketing campaign. Create your masterpiece now, and reap the rewards!

Article Directories

Making Money with Articles: Article Directories

Article directories are websites that house free articles. These articles are usually put there by the person who owns the copyright to them as a promotion method. Each article has the owner's byline placed under it so that those who eventually read the article will know who wrote it (or at least who owns it) and will be able to get in contact with them or visit their website for further information.

Article directories are a great place to put your articles so that they can make you money. By using this method, people who are interested in your product or service will see your article, view you as an expert in the subject, and then will visit your website. If you cannot write or do not have any knowledge on the subject which you are promoting (for example you run an affiliate website), you can always hire a writer to do the work for you. Getting quality articles written will be expensive up front, but they will pay for themselves in no time, either through affiliate sales or selling your own services, and everything from then on is pure profit.

Let’s take a real life example. Imagine that you are an accountant working from home. You write an article on an accounting topic and place it on various article directories. Those who are looking for the subject you wrote about will read your article, see that you have the knowledge and skill that is needed to do a job for them, and visit your website or contact you via e-mail. Your article just gained you a new client who may use your services regularly, but will definitely give you a nice profit at least once.

Furthermore, since you have posted it on a free article directory, others who have affiliate websites about accounting will inevitably use your article for their website. Since they must attach your byline to it, this will bring you even more exposure for every website that re-posts your article. This because you will be benefiting from the traffic that they get to their website.

There are numerous article directories out there for you to utilize. You can put a copy of each of your articles on every one for maximum exposure. It will eventually help to bring more traffic and customers to your website, which will lead to new orders and more profit.

I have been using "ezine articles" for many of my articles and they have been picked up and used around the world.

Build Your Audience

Tips from Tamyka Washington about Building an Engaged and Loyal Audience

You have this vision. You have an idea. You know that if you could just get in front of the right people, you can seriously, change some lives. You even know that what you’ve got has value, and if enough people know about it, your life would be so different.

The reality is, doing business online is not as easy as the experts make it sound. You know in order to reap the rewards of your labor, you’ve got to build an audience. But, not just any audience, an engaged and loyal one.

You’re no dummy, you know building this audience is going to take time and effort. You realize that there has to be order, a process to making it happen. That all takes time. So you start to wonder, what should I do in the meantime?

What should you do NOW to get people wanting to know who you are?

While waiting on people to really start taking notice of you and what you do, the best way to help get the ball rolling is to start creating relationships.

Yup, pretty simple, huh?

Now, I don’t mean inboxing people on Facebook or asking people to, “check out” what you do. I mean to really take a strategic approach to cultivating the kind of relationships that will grow over time. You’ve got to identify the type of people who will benefit the most from being connected with you. You also have to understand them and totally relate to where they are coming from.

That’s what makes an audience driven business work, because it takes a real effort on your part to truly get to know them.

Pull In Profit

How to Pull In As Much Profit As Your Wallet Will Hold
With Email Lists

By Jimmy D. Brown

The fortune is in the list.

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that said, well,
I'd already have a fortune! :-)

However "broken-recordish" it may sound, it is a truthful
statement.  The fortune REALLY IS in the list.

Fact is, if you possess the knowledge of how to grow
and profit from email lists, you can pretty much write
your own ticket.

And, if you'll read the remainder of this article, I'll
pass that knowledge right on to ya.

It comes down to getting folks to do four things...

First things first, you need to convince
people to subscribe to your list.  That is, get them to
join your list of their own free will.

Usually, this involves giving away a mini-course, report
or newsletter from your web site.  All you need is..

- An Attention Grabbing Title. (I could have chosen "4
Keys to Successful Email Promotions" for this article,
but is that as attention-grabbing as "How to Pull in
As Much Profit As Your Wallet Will Hold From Email

A Handful of Bulleted Benefits. (A short list of 4-6
desirable things subscribers will learn if they join
your list. Think "what's in it for me?")

- An Email Submission Form. (Your autoresponder system
  will provide this for you.)

NOTE: The BEST way to get folks to join is to embed the
mentioned items DIRECTLY in the most prominent
place you have your site visitors' attention.  Usually
this is 3-5 paragraphs into your sales letter or 1/3
of the way into an ezine article.

After visitors to your site have "requested"
information by joining your list, it's critical that your
emails be delivered successfully to their inbox.  With all
of the filters in place (among other hazards) this can be
quite a chore.

One thing you'll want to do for certain is check your
SPAM rating to make certain it's in an acceptable range.
Again, most of the better autoresponder services offer this
feature for you.

If yours doesn't, you can use the free tool at

You can also do things like...

- Get your subscribers to "approve" mailings from you.

- Authenticate yourself as a legitimate mailer when you
receive a "response challenge" from protection services
  such as Spam Arrest.

- Use alternative formats of your email messages such as
"downloadable email messages" in PDF format.  ( Free
  report available at )

3. READ.

When your emails successfully arrive at the
inboxes of your subscribers, another task awaits - getting
them to actually open your message and read it.

This is going to depend upon your "subject line".  It is
paramount that your subject line be intriguing enough to
convince your readers to stop what they are doing and take
a look inside.

One way to get this done is to create a swipe file of
email subject lines that have convinced YOU to read the
messages and then modify those subject lines for your
own use.

Ex.  I received an email that had the subject line of
"This affiliate tip is almost too easy" that caught my
and forced me to read the associated message.

This subject line could easily be used in a variety of
different niches...

- This dieting tip is almost too easy
- This time management tip is almost too easy
- This marriage saving tip is almost too easy

When you have convinced your subscribers to
open your email message and read its contents, the only
remaining "task" is to get them to respond.

You want them to take action.  Click a link.  Go
somewhere.  Ultimately, spend money with you.

The only way you'll be able to do this is follow a simple
catch phrase I've been teaching for years:  "useful, but

It simply means this:  your messages must provide content
that is useful to your subscribers (otherwise, they'll
unsubscribe faster than you can say "oops"!), but is also
"incomplete" in that there is some additional offer that
could enhance or maximize that content.

Ex.  You might write an article that shares "7 Ways to
Profit With Autoresponders" to send to your list.  That's
"useful" information to those who are interested in that
particular topic.  It's also "incomplete" because they
need an autoresponder service to put the information into
action.  That's your cue to promote your recommended
autoresponder service.

See how it works?

If you want to pad your wallet with profits by using
email lists, this is how you do it:

Get people to do these four things

- Request
- Receive
- Read
- Respond

This is a system that has never failed, will never fail.
I've used it.  Others have used it.

Now, it's your turn to use it.

site, teaching thousands of internet business owners
specific things they can do every week to multiply profits.
